I guess our house is a corner lot and kind of faces the other direction so I've never noticed these lovely blooms on the other side of the house but they sure were a pretty surprise when Dakota and I went out to get the mail today and walked around that side of the house.
These are not a surprise as my sweet mother-in-law planted my pots on the front porch for me when they were here earlier in the month. They're doing great, Marilyn! So bright and colorful!
And now for a picture you might actually be interested in seeing. Obviously it's been a slow day around here. :)

I am 95% confident those bushes are Indian Hawthrone. They look like any 'ole bush until the spring, and then make quite a show! We are planting a few in our backyard. I like them because they bloom before anything else does, and it adds some color to a dead, winter landscape!
