My friend, Courtney, named me one of the recipients of this prestigious award. And although I feel completely undeserving of such a noble title, I am very pleased to accept. :) The rules are: list 7 things you like and pass on the award to 7 friends. So here goes.....
1. I LOVE sleeping late and then going to breakfast with my little family (Little Pete's patio is one of our favorite spots!)
2. I LOVE my sweet "foofoo designer dog" Dakota who DOES NOT SHED Y'ALLl! So while I wholeheartedly believe you should rescue those poor puppies from the pound I just can't tell you how much I love it that our stinky ball of fur does not leave hair everywhere! Worth every penny spent!
3. I LOVE books. I'll read just about anything and I usually finish a book in less than a week....no matter how many pages. I finished Pillars of the Earth (what is that....like over 1000 pages?) in 7 days. Couldn't put it down.
4. I LOVE my job. Seriously. I am one of those lucky people who fell into a profession that happens to suit me perfectly and on top of that allows me to work as much or as little as I want. Doesn't get any better than that. Plus my boss is the best! :)
5. I LOVE a really good margarita. I mean like the expensive tequila that makes it go down oh-so-smoothly. MMMMMMM! Add some homemade guac and I am in heaven.
6. I LOVE me some Beth Moore. She talks Jesus better than anyone I've ever heard. I love her Bible studies; I love her Wednesday morning show that fills my DVR (because it's on at 7am and I am not fully awake enough yet to appreciate it so I have to watch it later....LOVE that DVR thing, too!); I love her books. God uses her in a mighty way and bless her for allowing Him to!
7. I LOVE to travel! Anywhere, anytime. Nothing thrills me more than anticipating an upcoming trip. :) My dream is to get to the Holy Lands someday and an African safari runs a close second.

1. Emily: My BFF in Maryland and the most "in the know" person I've ever met. Seriously this girl knows everything from celeb gossip to obscure spices that make your meals into gourmet dishes to everything on the SAT test. She's amazing! Plus she has the smiliest little guy you've ever seen! So cute that B-man!
2. Rachel: My Baylor roommate who has the voice of an angel and now has the cutest little angel baby of her own!
3. Jill: The most talented hostess who throws the cutest parties! I am always so excited to get an invitation from her. And seriously the mom of the year. She jokes about all of her "mom mistakes" but from where I'm sitting all I see is one of the best moms I've ever been around. Her beautiful little girl does not even know how lucky she is to have such an attentive and talented mommy.
4. Mandy: My beautiful baker! If you are in need of some darling, yummy cookies this is your girl! She's the best!
5. Sara: My other mom of the year friend. :) She's read every book and knows every toy, gadget, learning tool you need for your kids. She gives the best tips and now she's become a "nesting place" junkie too! Love it!
6: Anjie: One of my favorite girls to sip wine with and who is also the mommy of a very smiley happy little girl who we have not gotten to meet in person yet! Must remedy that soon!
7. Erin: One of the sweetest people I know who just moved with all her boys to California!! Love reading about their adventures and hope we get to see you guys while you're in town!

We were just talking about Pillars of the Earth tonight at our book club. 1/2 of us had read it and agreed that it was one of the best books we have read. I hope to get my 7 fun and fabulous facts loaded soon---but first I must update my pics of our adventures :)
