Roses

Jason always brings me flowers on Valentine's Day and I LOVE it! I am not as big a fan of red roses though as I am of pink or peach roses and this year he got me the prettiest bouquet of pink roses and they've opened up so nicely! I sure am enjoying them! I just love having flowers in the house and would have them in every room all the time if they were free! :)

"Neked" Time

Or at least, that's what we refer to it as around our house! The Baby Man LOVES to be "neked." He can be screaming bloody murder but if you take his clothes off, he's happy as a clam! So yesterday after we got home I got out the waterproof sheet, put it down on the floor, and let the little Mister have some happy "neked" time. He LOVED it and so did Dakota. :)

Lunch with Aunt Jenn

Aunt Jenn met us for lunch at one of my favorite places yesterday, Celebrity Bakery! We had such a good time! Thanks for meeting up with us, Jenn!

Happy 4 Months, Sweet Boy!

You sure have brought a lot of joy to so many people!

The Matchmaker

Our friend Sampson came over to smoke cigars with Jason yesterday evening and hung out with the Baby Man. Grant sure did like Sampson and he should.....Sampson introduced me and Jason almost 7 years ago!

Sweet Hubs

After dropping Grant off for his slumber party at Gigi and Gippy's house on Saturday evening, this is what I came home to.....

I don't like to go out to eat on Valentine's Day because it's just too crowded so for the last couple of years Jason has cooked me the yummiest dinners at home! And the BEST part is, I can eat it in my PJs!!!!! Love you, hon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We are staying in tonight and Jason is cooking me dinner while the Baby Man has a sleepover at Gigi and Gippy's house. Oh how sweet it is to have doting grandparents living nearby!! :)

Most of these were taken earlier today when we got together with my family for lunch at.......LUBY's! Wish you could have been there, Em! :)

Belated Birthday Shout-Out and Welcome Audrey Faith!

It was a BIG week for my sweet Baylor roomies this week! My BFF, Emily, turned 30 on Wednesday and although she lives too far away for us to pop over for a visit we did send her some birthday wishes from Texas. We hope you had a GREAT day, Em! Lovies

And then on Thursday Rachel gave birth to the beautiful Audrey Faith! We are SO EXCITED to meet her and are hoping we get the chance to visit them in the hospital today! Congratulations Rach and Travis!!!!

Happy Birthday Mimi!

Mimi had her birthday yesterday so of course we had to celebrate her and take her to lunch! We went to "The Lunch Box" in Ft. Worth and had us some yummy pie for dessert. I just love pie. Why is it so hard to find restaurants that serve pie these days?!

Sara and Sutton Come to Visit

Our friends Sara and Sutton drove all the way from the Sherman area to spend the day with us on Wednesday! Sutton is 2 weeks older than Grant so it was very fun to get the boys together. I LOVED catching up with Sara who I met when we lived in Austin. Sara was a 5th grade teacher at the school where I worked in Pflugerville although she is now retired and working as a mommy! :) Come back and see us soon guys!

Ft. Worth Rodeo

Mom and Dad took all of us to the Ft. Worth Rodeo and Stock Show last weekend. So we put on our boots and Gigi made a bandana for Grant and off we went. We saw some bull-riding and chuck wagon racing and the boys even did a little shootin' while we were there. All of the hoopla definitely wore our little guy out but he did GREAT! Thanks for such a fun evening Mom and Dad!

Stars Game

Jason and I got to have a little date night last Friday night and watch the Stars play some hockey. It was a GREAT game. The Stars won 10 to 2. Yes folks, they scored 10 goals. It was crazy! After the game we walked over and watched the Channel 8 news team in action as they were broadcastng the 10:00 news. The little man had a slumber party with Gigi and Gippy and had a GREAT time! :)

Visiting Mimi and Great Grandaddy

Great Grandaddy has not been feeling quite himself lately and has had several visits to see the cardiologist. We've been worried about him so we went to visit and try to cheer him up last week. It was very warm that day so Grant-man had to get "neked." :)

Visiting Daddy's Office

Last week we went to visit Daddy at work and meet all of his co-workers. Everyone loved the little mister and he was very well behaved for his visit! :)

Happy Groundhog Day!

This post has nothing to do with Groundhog day but I thought I'd wish you a happy one anyway. :) We had a GREAT weeekend with lots of fun activities. It started off with a call from my mom asking if we had any babysitting needs for the weekend. I know, pretty great when your free babysitter calls you to find out if you need her services! :) So of course we took her up on it and Jason and I went to see the movie Australia (at the dollar theater I might add) while Mom and Dad kept Grant. On Saturday, my fabulous, beautiful Aunt from Albuquerque came over with almost all of my side of the family to meet and hang out with the G-man. We also had a belated birthday celebration for my sweet Aunt complete with cake and ice cream.

Grant tried out his very lime green Bumbo seat this weekend and it was a big hit. We called it his "game watching" chair. I think he felt a bit like a monkey at the zoo with the crowd staring at him. :)

It was so fun to have so much family together! Thanks for coming over guys!

On Sunday we watched the Super Bowl with our sweet friends Mark, Kari and Rylie. We were hoping the Cardinals would win and they gave it a good run but it just wasn't quite enough. Thanks for having us over for yummy eats and good company, Mark and Kari!

And last but not least, we want to wish our Nana in Connecticut a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY! She had her birthday on Wednesday but I wasn't very good this week about blogging so here's a belated smile from Mr. G for your birthday, Nana. We love you!
