Bye-Bye Janice

My Aunt Janice came to visit Mimi for a few days while we were all barefootin' it at the beach. We were lucky enough to score a brief visit with her when we got back before she headed home to Albuquerque. For the rest of the night Grant kept saying, "Bye-bye, Janice!" It was pretty cute. :)

The Beach

My parents treated us to a beach vacation in Florida last week. We spent 7 days in beach heaven. :) The house was right on the beach with a huge pool off to the side complete with a baby pool at one end which Grant absolutely LOVED!

We spent many a night watching the sun set on the back porch with margaritas in hand....

Our backyard for the week...doesn't get much better than that!

Gips treated us to a little boat excursion one morning where Grant served as Captain!



And we were lucky enough to see quite few dolphins during our stay both off shore from our beach house and up close from the boat! So neat!









So we tried to take the pictures everyone gets with their khakis and white shirts on the beautiful sandy beaches but just as we started snapping a few practice shots a downpour started and didn't stop until the next morning. Sadly these were all we got and we didn't have everybody together. :( Guess we'll have to go back and try again. (wink, wink, hint, hint)







And if you are ever in Fort Myers Beach we HIGHLY recommend Love Boat Ice Cream....YUMMY! And the sign out front is so cute!

Thanks for a really great vacation, Mom and Dad! And thanks for helping us wrangle a VERY active, very uncooperative toddler on the THREE hour flight there and back. Oh my...another story for another day, but it was all worth it. :)

Buddies

Our friend Brayden has been over to play a couple of times this summer while his mommy and daddy go to the doctor for a peek at his growing baby brother or sister. We are excited to find out which it will be soon! :)


Grant seems to have a great time when Brayden comes to play.....

Not so sure Brayden is quite as thrilled. :)


*And on an unrelated note, although she is our buddy too, a big happy birthday to our friend Rachel! Hope it was a special day, Rach!
