Anniversary Pictures

Okay, I got off my lazy butt and downloaded pictures from our trip to Scottsdale and our anniversary. Enjoy!

The first thing we did on our trip was spend the day at The Golden Door Spa at The Boulders Resort in Scottsdale. Oh. My. Gosh.

Dinner at a very charming Italian Restaurant in North Scottsdale, Sassi

Having pre-dinner drinks in the AMAZING bar complete with plush chairs next to the fireplace.

We both ordered the Pom-a-rita and can I just say YUMMMMMM.

And such a treat, when we were seated at our table there was a chilled bottle of champagne waiting and the restaurant manager came to inform us that my in-laws very thoughtfully contacted the restaurant earlier in the day to leave their credit card number with instructions that they were to be billed for our meal. Wow! Thanks so much Ron and Marilyn! We enjoyed every minute!

We took a few pictures of Grant outside Highland Park Pres on Sunday - our "for real" anniversary. :)

And while Jason and I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at Breadwinners, G opted for his bottle. I swear this kid is going to actually go to college with his bottle.

I Do

We may not be able to claim 6 years of wedded, blissful perfection but we can claim we'd say "I do" all over again. We celebrated our anniversary today by attending the church where we were married 6 years ago. We spoke with the pastor who married us and we had fun remembering our wedding day. We topped it off with brunch at Breadwinners (yummmmmmmy!) and then proceeded to take some really good Sunday afternoon naps. Whew, this marriage bit can wear you out! :)

If I was a good blogger this is where I'd scan in some great photos from the actual day 6 years ago for you to peruse however I am not a good blogger and I am much too lazy to get off the couch to go hunt up some pictures to scan. So instead, how about a shot of Angie Harmon and Jason Seahorn:

Why you ask? Because they were also married at Highland Park Presbyterian Church by the pastor who married us. Fun little celebrity tidbit, right? Haha.

Our real celebration was last week with our trip to Scottsdale. We left G behind with Gigi and Gips and had a FABULOUS VACATION!! We enjoyed the spa, dinners out, sleeping in, movies, shopping, hiking....aaah it was great. Pictures to follow soon I promise. I'm too lazy right now to upload them from my camera. :)

Happy anniversary to us!

Can You Spare $10?

What better way to spend $10 right now than to send a little help, and hope, to Haiti. Text "HAITI" to 90999 to donate $10 to Red Cross relief efforts. It will be charged on your cell phone bill.

Praying for Haiti.

Christmas in Scottsdale

This is late, I know, but here are some pictures from Christmas. We flew out Christmas Eve to join Jason's parents and brother and sister in Scottsdale which means we missed the white Christmas in Dallas. Although we did get a pretty good view of the snowfall as we waited a few hours on the tarmac for our plane to be de-iced so we could actually take off. Ugh.

We spent lots of time letting G run on the golf course out back and of course he LOVED Aunt Jill's big doggies. I have now decided that there is no better thing for a 14 month old boy than an empty golf course in your backyard. :)
