While most of you were sawing logs (well maybe not Kristen and Judy....my 2 mommy Zetas with new babies) Grant and I were up playing. Why you ask? Good question. I have no idea. And I would have rather been sawing logs. :)

What Were You Doing at 4am?
Here's what we were doing:

Celebrating in Style
Well, I think we rang in Jason's big 3-0 with some good celebrating. Grant and I delivered balloons and a cookie cake to his office and then took Jason out for lunch at one of his favorite sushi restaurants. I did not think to snap any pictures so you'll have to take my word for it that we had a good time. :)
Later that afternoon I dropped the G-man at Mom and Dad's and took Jason out to our FAVORITE pizza place of all time.....Scalini's. Seriously the BEST pizza ever and this is coming from one who grew up in Chicago. Love it. But the very best part was we took our "best ever" pizza around the corner to this place:

It's a wine bar that allows you to bring in food since they only serve desserts and appetizers. Such a GREAT idea! We sampled 4 different wines while we enjoyed our pizza and opened birthday presents.

It was a very fun night and we definitely enjoyed eating our pizza in an even more fun atmosphere.

And I'm sad to say that I'm still such a light-weight. My couple of glasses of wine left me a bit tipsy and subsequently very excited to see this street sign:

as that is the last name of our good friends Ryan and Melissa. Which is exciting but not perhaps as exciting as tipsy Lindsay thought it was. :) But there you go Ryan and Melissa, you were thought of last night. Haha!

Our Crazy Kids
Grant turned 9 months old last week (cannot believe it!) and he has learned quite a few new tricks. He is crawling like a pro - full speed ahead! He is pulling up and trying to take steps. (Oh how mommy wished you would be a late walker but alas that does not seem like it will happen.) He has crawled..errrrr... fallen out of his crib. But until yesterday he could not sit up on his own. All the books say your baby won't crawl or pull up until they can sit. Well Grant is living proof that "the experts" are wrong. He can however sit up now although he has no interest in sitting still and playing nicely with his toys. Mommy spends most of her day chasing him. :) We are up to 16 lbs. 8oz. as of our doctor's visit last week and appear to be longer than we are wide. I guess that's a good thing. Here are some recent pictures. Enjoy!

Meeting Uncle Sean
So Grant FINALLY got to meet his Uncle Sean this weekend. Sean is actually my cousin but he and his sister are more like siblings to me and my brother. So Sean flew in from Phoenix and we got to hang out with him as well as my Aunt Janice, Jennifer and Josh. Thanks for having us over guys! The G-man LOVED your pool as usual. :)

And of course I had to get in some cuddle time with Jenn and Josh's new puppy, Riley. She is so stinkin' cute!

Happy Anniversary!
A very heartfelt "Happy EIGHTH Anniversary!" to a very special couple today! Love you guys!
We're Still Here
I'm still blogging it's just been so busy lately that I haven't taken time to blog. Here's a brief recap of what we've been up to!
Father's Day Weekend on Lake Grapevine

Our Super Dad...It's Tough to Fill His Shoes!

We celebrated Jason's 30th a little early with a joint birthday party with 2 of his fraternity brothers from TCU. We started off with dinner at Sneaky Pete's on Lake Lewisville and then moved the party onto the water with a booze cruise until midnight. We had a GREAT time and it was especially fantastic to have so many friends join us. AND Jason's brother and sister even flew in for it! It was a good party if I do say so myself. :)

AND a BIG!!!!! shout out to our friends Ryan and Melissa who kept the Grant-man and Dakota for us until the wee hours of the morning! Y'all are the BEST!
