Such a sweet time made even sweeter by the fact that a few weeks after this event we found out Mimi had broken her back. She is now fighting her way back to some independence at a skilled nursing facility. We know she won't ever return to her home but we are hopeful and unabashedly on our knees before God asking for her restoration so that she may at least return to the assisted living property where many of her friends are living. It has been a difficult time but these photos make me smile. So glad we could have these memories.
The birthday girl. She looks so happy..... and so terrific for 90! Sort of breaks my heart right now.
Grant gettin' him some Aunt Jessie love. Oh how that boy loves his Aunt Jess!
And then Grant got ahold of my camera....
But he did take a few pretty good shots.....
Uncle Craig
Uncle Craig
Gip
Mimi
Cousin Caleb and Uncle Josh
Daddy
And then pretty sure a grown up took the rest of these. ;)
A few family combination shots.... try to ignore my Farrah Fawcett hair. Seriously don't know what happened.
And a little video of Grant helping Mimi blow out her candles. His 2nd favorite thing next to actually eating the cake. :)
Love you, Mimi. Keep fightin'.
