June - In a Nutshell

Pretty much it's hot here this summer. Maybe even hotter than usual for June in Texas. So we go to the pool....a lot. And, well, it's hard to take pictures when you're in the pool all the time and your camera does not like to get wet.

But to sum up the month of June you can picture us either at story time inside the air-conditioned library several days a week...

Paying rapt attention to the puppet show and story time. He just loves it. :)

The reading theme at the library this summer is dogs and there are all these stuffed, life-like dogs throughout the library. Our favorite is the big Dalmatian.

He looks so real, right?! (The dog...not Grant....well, yes Grant is real but you know what I mean.)

If we're not at the library then you'll probably find us at our neighborhood pool with various friends during the week. The last couple of weeks we have been doing swim lessons every day which Grant LOVES! So glad he likes the water so much and enjoys the lessons. He is one of 3 little kids with 2 instructors and they go each day for 30 minutes. I am impressed at how much they learn in such a short amount of time. Kids are amazing.

And that's pretty much been our June with a few baby showers, wedding showers, and dinners with friends thrown in just to keep things interesting. :) I still need to put up pictures from our Memorial Day weekend trip. Hopefully those will be coming soon. It's just so hard to get motivated to do anything when it's this hot outside. At least that's my excuse anyway. ;)
