So here's the backstory:
Last Thursday at school I was called to come pick Grant up because he had some fever and just did not seem like himself. Well, sure enough he ran fever for 2.5 days which we attributed to a reaction to the flu mist we got at the dr. last Wednesday. That cleared up Saturday and we had a fun weekend but come Monday morning the fever is back and the poor guy feels TERRIBLE!
I go on to work and Jason takes Grant to the dr.: double ear infection! Start the antibiotics, fever breaks by Tuesday afternoon and all is well, right?!?! Not so much. Pardon this next part but there's just no other way around it.
Wednesday the diarrhea starts from the antibiotics and without getting into too many details by Thursday afternoon (after I took Grant home from the costume parade...we did not stay for the rest of the school day...obviously...did you see his face?!) we are both in tears and multiple calls are being made to the pediatrician for the most horrible diaper burn on the planet. I mean, I'm not a boy so there are certain parts I don't have or know about but even I could not fathom the pain this little boy was in after taking a look at his "parts." Burns, y'all. Horrible, huge, raised burns. Oh my gosh. The screaming and the "Mommy help," were just more than I could stand. Worst day I've had with Grant hands down.
Lots of creams and herbal supplements to try to combat all of this but we've got one more day of antibiotics before the dr. told me we could quit. Man, I don't know if I'm going to make it y'all. If not for Gigi arriving yesterday for moral support I think neither Grant nor I would have made it. Here's praying we make it though the next couple of days. Ugh.

Poor Grant and Mommy!! what a tough week! Praying for you all.
First of all, Lindsay, I have loved seeing ALL of the fall pics, pumpkin patch, and especially birthday pics!! Happy 2nd birthday to Grant! Cute, cute Halloween costume, but your little guy sure does look under the weather... can tell it is not only tough on him but also his mom and dad! Hugs to all!! Lots of fever/tummy issues up here, too. Lots of phone calls between me and Er... Hopefully our Beauty (Anna as Belle) and the Beast (Luke! as a lion) will be healthy this Halloween. Still in doubt!! Happy Halloween!
