So Monday we woke up and headed to the world famous San Diego Zoo. We went straight for the panda bears first and fell in love with them! There was the mama bear and her 2 baby girls (one was 3 years old and the one sleeping in the tree is 1 year old.) So adorable.
We LOVED the polar bear exhibit too. It was fun to get up so close to them! They have the biggest paws I've ever seen!
And then of course there's all of the koalas in their trees. Such a neat exhibit! We did check out the elephants, camels, bears, tigers, and giraffes but the pandas, koalas, and polar bears are the best animal exhibits at the San Diego Zoo hands down. We highly recommend a visit there just for those 3 exhibits. They were very, very well done.
After our morning at the zoo we picked up fresh sandwiches at a local deli and drove out to Point Loma which is the peninsula that runs out from the main part of San Diego and protects the harbor. We had fabulous views of the ocean and the harbor as we ate our lunch.
We spent a leisurely afternoon out on the point and then headed north to Encinitas to meet our friends Luke, Lindsey, and baby Sutton for dinner. We LOVED Encinitas, but the highlight of course was seeing our sweet friends! Love you guys!
And I think that's enough for one day. Needless to say, we fell into bed that night tired, but filled with fun memories! More still to come......

Such fun pics of "ey" and her cute fam! And you guys really hit up the animal kingdom between Sea World and the zoo. Dakota must be proud!
I will have to show Sam these pictures b/c he LOVES pandas. He is always trying to convince me to give money to the pandas! he will be so jealous!
Jason and Lindsay: I went through your entire trip. It was all very interesting and enjoyed seeing how much you two appreciate seeing things together. Lindsay, you look wonderful! Hope you feel as well as you look! I really enjoy keeping up with your events, thanks for posting them. Take care of yourself .
